Workshops

The 2011 MEME Workshops are an innovative training component of the festival. They consist of two, half-day clinics. Our aim is to bring together aspiring producers, novices and professionals. The workshops will take place at Manitoba Music, located right in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, only blocks away from the festival main stage and venues. The workshops will be delivered by top localindustry professionals and an array of international producers, who will also performing at the festival throughout the weekend. These workshops will give you new insight into electronic music production via presentations, hands-on tutorials, discussion and panel Q&A sessions. 

Goals

•Expose newcomers to the production of electronic music

•Provide an opportunity for novices to interact with local, national & international professionals

•Provide a forum for experienced producers to share ideas and learn from one another

•Create an opportunity to learn about careers in digital media production from industry professionals

•Nurture our local community of digital media producers

 

Format & Dates

2 Days: Friday, June 24th & Saturday, June 25th.

Each day consists of a 4-hour afternoon seminar from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

The Saturday session will conclude with a panel of digital media professionals along with a Q&A.

Fee$25 per registrant Includes both days +  workshop materials
