MEME 2014 Artists: Wave Two Release!

We are thrilled to announce another round of incredible international headliners for MEME 2014!

This round of headliners includes two duos and a live act that incorporates saxophone into his massively funky bass music sets.

SICK BAY aka LONGWALKSHORTDOCK  & Phil Western  (Vancouver)

Our first duo is called “SICK BAY” and is comprised of two Canadian producers Phil Western & Dave King of LONGWALKSHORTDOCK. SICK BAY is a new project for the duo, with Phil & Dave being long time friends inspiring each other musically for years. They premiered their SICK BAY act in Victoria at Rifflandia festival in 2013 when they opened for legends The Orb. SICK BAY’s MEME 2014 appearance will be the first time the duo has taken their new act on the road. We are very excited to see this brand new show performed by two talented electronic music veterans!

BLOND:ISH (London, UK)

Our second duo to announce were originally hatched in Montreal, but currently based in London, DJ’s Anstascia and Vivie-Ann have established their love child globally by proving that they don’t fit the quintessential stereotype. Fueled by their sharp taste-maker instincts and technical flair, Blond:ish has not only charmed the industry masses but set themselves to release on some of the most notable labels around. At Burning Man in 2013 Blond:ish played an incredible set ( that has been played over 70,000 times on Soundcloud helping further promote this talented duo to a wider audience around the world.  Blond:ish will be making their first ever appearance in Winnipeg when they play at MEME 2014!

GRIZ (Detroit)

GRIZ is easily the biggest “BASS” artist MEME is presenting in 2014. GRIZ combines live saxophone with funky samples of soul & jazz + wonderfully huge basslines to create his unique sound. GRIZ is on fire right now headlining all the major festivals in North America playing to crowds of 10’s of thousands of people all summer. We are going to be putting GRIZ on The Cube during MEME so that he can play to the biggest crowds of our festival with the largest soundsystem. Truly epic!
