Amber Long & Robert Mason (Modern Agenda Showcase)Get Tickets
Amber Long (Modern Agenda, Toronto)
Amber Long’s svelte, edgy techno sound is uniquely hers. Progressive. Melodic. Dark. The accomplished Canadian DJ/vocalist runs Toronto-based label Modern Agenda, as well as sublabels, Modern Architect and Honey Drops. Her lyrics and voice are well-known in the underground electronic music community. As a DJ, Amber is passionate and animated - she tears up dance floors around the world. On a personal note, we had the opportunity to meet Amber last year in Amsterdam at the Modern Agenda boat party. Words that come to mind: gracious, warm, friendly and quick-to-smile. Don’t miss seeing her here in Winnipeg. We certainly can’t wait!
Robert Mason (Modern Agenda, Toronto)
Canadian DJ/Producer Robert Mason is a classically trained violinist. His strong grounding in music theory and composition shines through in his fantastic progressive house and techno productions. His experimentation in analog electronics and computer-aided music production has led to releases on a variety of globally renowned record labels. When not busy in studio, Robert runs Modern Agenda, along with Amber Long.
Robert’s international collaborations in production have taken him around the world to perform. We met Robert Mason last year on vacation: super nice guy, always smiling, with a sharp sense of humour. His comfort level behind the decks will be immediately apparent to the lucky, elated dancers in front of him!

MEME X - Stacey Pullen - August 16thGet Tickets
Stacey Pullen (Blackflag, Detroit)
Stacey Pullen is the Kosmik Messenger. An innovator from the Second Wave of Detroit techno, he grew up under the mentorship of Detroit's legendary three: Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson.
Rennie Foster (Vancouver)
RF is a consolidation of all things Rennie Foster under one banner - a label for Rennie's personal releases, and artists in his close circle of peers, emerging and well-known alike. The sound of RF, the label, is much like a Rennie Foster DJ set, a unique style that references several eras and genres, and remains completely distinct. RF pays homage to Detroit techno, Chicago house music, B-boy culture, plus subtle nods to vogue culture, new wave, skateboarding, old school rave and all other subculture that fuels Rennie's rebellious and infamous presence in the underground. After spending nearly a quarter of his life in Tokyo, Japan, and support from artists such as Derrick May and Laurent Garnier, it's no surprise that Rennie Foster's signature imprint contains a little bit of everything, yet sounds like nothing else out there. Purists beware, RF is in the area.
