Metafloor produces multidimensional soundsystem music. As a producer, DJ, promoter and community-builder, his endeavors reflect an insatiable creative appetite and a passion for connecting people through low frequencies.
In 2011 Metafloor co-founded Sub Chakra to curate intimate bass music experiences. The collective has delivered over 100 shows in Calgary and beyond and is now venturing into soundsystem development. In 2022 he launched Pull Up – a Friday-night residency centred on underground experimental electronic music.. A proponent for emerging artists, Metafloor is not only known to regularly perform at festivals such as Shambhala and Bass Coast, but also aids in mentoring and supporting other upcoming artists.
As a producer, Metafloor is driven by an endless desire to bring new, unconventional sounds to the dance floor and has collaborated with artists such as Fixate, Doctor Jeep, Moresounds, Joe Nice, and Mat the Alien. A focused and intentional shapeshifter, he creates with deep respect for a myriad of genres. His ability to merge musical ranges creates a distinct, yet unexpected soundscape. Inspired by the dualities of art and life, Metafloor is always evolving and is committed to taking the listener on a memorable journey.

Buff N Pretty is the breaks- and garage-focused duo of Vancouver’s Mother Mary and Finn. These two hit it off outside B-Side Radio in Vancouver on a sunny afternoon in fall 2022 and shared tunes back and forth across the Rockies until Alex (Mother Mary) relocated to Vancouver this year. They have been steadily building momentum and defining their musical and performance style and are so thrilled to be part of MEME.

Sergio SP is the solo project of Calgary raised and Toronto based, producer, and DJ Sandro Petrillo. Known for his fresh take on floor-filling house and techno, blending classic and forward-thinking sounds, Sandro has been making and performing music for a decade now, featuring at festivals, clubs and cultural centres across Canada.
He is an ardent advocate for local scenes through his numerous community projects. Along with partner Dan Solo, Sergio contributed to the growing foundation of the west coast underground scene by championing weekly parties, one-offs, and experimental events, culminating in the weekly Calgary event series Northern Lights and Modern Math which later became the label Modern Math recordings. Sergio last played MEME 10 years ago so we are thrilled to have him back as a headliner for 2024.

With beginnings in Toronto Canada performing at The Guvernment, Footwork Nightclub, and the LGBTQ2S+ community, Sydney Blu now tours the globe living life through music. In 2009, she founded her imprint, Blu Music, on the principle of dancefloor-rich house and techno, the following year she extended her brand introducing her legendary Blu Party. Sydney has released music on some of the most recognized labels in the industry including Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep in Sound, Katerblau Berlin’s Katermukke, HE.SHE.THEY, Steve Lawler’s VIVa Music, Desert Hearts Records, Deadmau5’s Mau5trap, Universal Music, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and Truesoul, Yousef’s Circus Recordings, Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records, DJ Minx`s Women on Wax and more. Her release "Give It Up For Me” on Mau5trap earned Sydney a #1 hit on Beatport for over 3 months.
With multiple top ten records since then, Sydney continues to chart every year including another recent top ten called “Mind Games” on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep in Sound which was premiered by Billboard Magazine. In late 2021 Sydney launched the #23by23 (Change the Beat) campaign with the help of Native Instruments, Beatport, and a run of A-list dance labels. The non-profit partners with record labels and assists them in discovering and signing female and gender non-conforming producers to help equalize their rosters while also mentoring and educating new artists.
One of Sydney’s greatest accomplishments to date has been her recent successful advocation for a new category at Canada’s largest award show ‘The JUNO Awards’ called ‘Underground Dance Single of the Year’. The category was successfully accepted by the JUNO’s in June 2021 and presented its first award in 2022 with Sydney Blu as its Chair. Following this, Sydney was asked by The Recording Academy (The Grammy`s) to join as a voting member and help develop their new category in Dance using her proposal for the JUNO`s.

Yoyu aka Ali Khan - sound artist and musician residing in the Canadian Prairies. Yoyu will open up this event with some beautiful ambient synth soundscapes and some low key beats. Yoyu has been recording music since the early 1990s with releases and collaborations on excellent record labels like Kahlwild, Cocoon, Dewtone, Purespace, Archives, Saint & Don`t, No More Words, and many more.
Yoyu hopes that his sounds inspire peace, relaxation, wonder, delight and that feeling of ok-ness in one`s space suit.
This event also features a rare set from C-Horse aka Fishead and of course the main headliner from Spain, Pablo Bolivar!

C-Horse, like the seawolf, harnesses the undercurrents that course through the abyssal trenches of the ocean floor and dances in the darkness of the hadopelagic zone.

In 2009, Pablo released his critically acclaimed and personal favourite LP, ‘Recall’, also via Regular. The album saw him once again nod to past influences such as Heiko Laux and his Kanzleramt label as well as other German imprints such as Chain Reaction, but also was deeply inspired by the passing of his father.
Since then, the Spaniard has gone from strength to strength, with further releases on Curle Recordings, as well as on Desolat, Culprit, Einmusika, Moodmusic, Endless as well as via his own labels, Seven Villas and Avantroots, also remixing the likes of Gui Boratto, Mario Basanov, When Saints Go Machine, Gorge, Parov Stelar or Juana Molina to name a few.
Outside of music production, the gifted Spaniard has built up a reputation for his meticulously crafted DJ performances, combining his own mesmerising Techno cuts with records unearthed from his regular excursions crate digging as well as from other artists such as Floating Points, Soulphiction, I:Cube and Vakula – modern names that he is a big personal fan of.
